• Judge Rakesh Kumar-I Suspended: The full court, led by Acting Chief Justice Justice Ritu Bahri, placed Additional District and Sessions Judge Rakesh Kumar-I under suspension. This decision, made under Article 235 of the Constitution and relevant disciplinary rules, suggests potential misconduct and impending proceedings against the officer. His headquarters during the suspension are in Mansa, and leaving them requires prior permission.
• Pradeep Synghal Dismissed: Following a full court meeting in October and a detailed inquiry by the High Court’s Vigilance wing, the Governor of Punjab dismissed Additional Civil Judge (Senior Division) Pradeep Synghal. He was previously posted in Fazilka.
• Voluntary Retirement Granted: Judicial officer Mandip Singh Dhilion, a member of the Punjab Superior Judicial Service, received voluntary retirement approval from the Governor upon the High Court’s recommendation. The usual three-month notice period was waived.
