Bank of Japan has released Payment and Settlement Statistics for the month of April 2024. This report provides monthly statistics on how money is moved and settled between banks and financial institutions in Japan. The Bank of Japan monitors and facilitates these transactions to ensure the smooth operation of the financial system.
In April 2024, around 88,095 transactions daily, worth 234.6 trillion yen, which is a +10.3% increase in volume and +2.4% increase in value compared to last year.
