Senior Pensioners can submit Life Certificate from Today i.e. 1st October 2025. The annual drive for submission of the Pensioners’ Life Certificate begins in November every year but Senior Pensioners can submit from today.

To address the difficulties faced by senior pensioners aged 80 years and above, who often struggle to stand in long queues during November, the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare (DoPPW), Government of India, issued an Office Memorandum (No. 1/20/2018-P&PW dated 18.07.2019).

As per this memorandum, pensioners aged 80 years and above are allowed to submit their Life Certificate from 1st October every year. The certificate will remain valid till 30th November of the following year.

How can Senior Pensioners Submit their Life Certificate?

Pensioners can submit their Life Certificate through the following modes:

1. Digital Life Certificate (DLC) via Face or Biometric Authentication

Pensioners can generate and submit a Digital Life Certificate using the Jeevan Pramaan Mobile Application. The system is based on UIDAI Aadhaar software and uses either face authentication (live photo capture) or biometric authentication for verification.

2. Doorstep Banking Facility

Doorstep Banking is available through an alliance of 12 Public Sector Banks under the Ease of Public Sector Banking Reforms. Pensioners can book this service, under which a DSB Agent visits the pensioner’s residence to collect the Life Certificate.

Pensioners can submit their Life Certificate physically at any branch of their bank. They just need to visit bank branch and submit the life certificate form.

Now it has become very easy for pensioners to submit their Life Certificate. The Government of India and Public Sector Banks have taken several steps to make the process simple and pensioner-friendly. These initiatives by the Government of India and Public Sector Banks have made life much easier for pensioners. Now, they can complete this important requirement comfortably, safely, and without stress.
