The Indian Banks’ Association (IBA) has released the next date of meeting with United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU). IBA has called a preparatory meeting with members of the United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU) who had earlier participated in the CLC meetings held on June 17, 2025, and August 11, 2025.
The meeting is scheduled for Friday, September 26, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the Committee Room of IBA, 6th floor, Center 1 Building, World Trade Center, Cuffe Parade, Mumbai.
According to IBA, the meeting will be held to discuss various ongoing issues ahead of the upcoming CLC conciliation meeting. Unions have been requested to send their authorized representatives, and the number of nominations should be maintained as per past practice.
All India Bank Employees’ Association – AIBEA, All India Bank Officers Confederation – AIBOC, National Confederation of Bank Employees – NCBE, Bank Employees Federation of India – BEFI, Indian National, Bank Employees Federation – INBEF, Indian National Bank Officers Congress – INBOC, National Organisation of Bank Workers – NOBW, National Organisation of Bank Officers – NOBO, are expected to participate in the meeting.
Earlier, a conciliation meeting between representatives of major bank unions, the Indian Banks’ Association (IBA), and officials from the Ministry of Labour & Employment was held on 11 August 2025 to discuss key issues affecting bank employees, including recruitment, Performance Linked Incentive (PLI), security at bank branches, and the long-standing demand for five-day banking.
In that meeting, Union representatives expressed anger and frustration over the government’s inaction on the demand for five-day banking. They said that despite repeated discussions, 5 day banking has not been implemented and warned that they might be forced to announce strike.
