IAS Deepak Rawat, who is currently serving as the Kumaon Commissioner, has been making headlines lately for both his personal and professional life. He has garnered a lot of attention for his remarkable achievements and outstanding works in his field. The IAS officer has also gained a massive following on social media, with over 4.6 million subscribers on his official YouTube channel.

Recently, a video of Rawat surfaced on the internet in which he was seen conducting an inspection of a government office. During the inspection, he came across some employees who were not performing their duties with due diligence. The IAS officer did not hesitate to admonish them and warned them about the harsh consequences of their carelessness at work. He also advised them to rectify their mistakes and ensure that such lapses are not repeated in the future.

Rawat’s dedication and commitment to his work have earned him a reputation as an excellent civil servant. He has been applauded by many for his no-nonsense approach and for taking a tough stance against those who do not fulfil their responsibilities towards the public. Deepak Rawat was born on September 24, 1977, in Barlowganj, Mussoorie, Uttarakhand, India. He attended St George’s College in Mussoorie for his schooling, and later completed his graduation from Hansraj College, Delhi University. Rawat then went on to earn a post-graduate degree in political science and an MPhil from Jawaharlal Nehru University, one of the most prestigious universities in India.

Deepak Rawat, a man of strong will and determination, cracked the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examination in 2007 after two unsuccessful attempts. He secured an impressive All India Rank of 12 after completing his training at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) in Mussoorie.

Rawat has held several key positions during his illustrious career. He served as a District Magistrate in Bageshwar, Uttarakhand, and also as the Managing Director of Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam from 2011 to 2012. From 2014 to 2017, he was the District Magistrate in Nainital, a popular tourist destination in Uttarakhand. Currently, he is serving as the commissioner of Kumaon.

In recognition of his exceptional work, Rawat was also entrusted with the responsibility of Kumbh Mela Adhikari, a prestigious and challenging position, during his tenure as the District Magistrate in Haridwar since 2017. His remarkable achievements and dedication to his work have earned him a reputation as one of the most outstanding civil servants in India.
