Himachal Pradesh Starts Recruitment Drive to Hire Delivery Riders for High Paying Jobs in UAE
A special recruitment drive has started in Himachal Pradesh to provide jobs for local youth who want to work abroad, especially in Gulf countries. Under this drive, candidates are being selected for delivery rider jobs with fixed monthly pay.
The Himachal Pradesh State Electronics Development Corporation Limited (HPSEDC), a state government undertaking, has started the recruitment process for delivery rider positions in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The hiring is being done through the JSDC Group of Companies for Noon Food LLC, which handles grocery and food delivery.
Selected candidates will get a monthly salary of AED 2,500, plus commission and tips. This is equal to about ₹70,000 to ₹1,00,000 in Indian currency. Candidates will have to work 10 hours a day, six days a week.
District Employment Officer (Chamba), Arvind Singh Chauhan, said that this recruitment drive provides a good opportunity for the youth to get high-paying jobs abroad in a safe and reliable way. He urged interested candidates to apply and benefit from the scheme.
Eligibility and Requirements
- Minimum Qualification: Class 10 pass with basic English knowledge
- Experience: Freshers and experienced candidates can apply
- Age Limit: 20 to 37 years
- Only male candidates are eligible
According to HPSEDC, the following conditions must be followed:
- Visible face and neck tattoos are not allowed
- Candidates with colour blindness are not allowed
- A clean-shaven appearance is required (turbaned candidates are allowed)
- Helmet use is mandatory
- An Indian driving licence is required (a UAE licence will be provided after joining)
While this seems to be good, it has highlighted a very important question: is the Government of Himachal Pradesh not able to generate jobs? Users are saying that the government should have tried to create jobs in India itself instead of sending its citizens abroad. What you think – do let us know in the comment section below.
