HDFC Bank organized Rural Loan Mela in Rajasthan, Bank aims to reach 2 lac villages

HDFC Bank, India’s leading private sector bank, organized a Rural Loan Mela in Bundi, Rajasthan. The initiative aims to penetrate deeper into the rural areas of Bundi and surrounding districts of Western Rajasthan, making a wide range of HDFC Bank products and services easily available to customers.

On this occasion, Rahul Shyam Shukla, Group Head (Commercial and Rural Banking), HDFC Bank, interacted with the media at its office headquarters in Jhalana. He said small and marginal farmers, farmer producer organisations, dairy farmers, traders, small shopkeepers and transport vehicle customers were among the major beneficiaries of the rural loan mela, which was attended by about 10 thousand people.

The initiative was aimed at providing easy access to a range of loan products for agriculture, MSME, vehicles, transport equipment and healthcare needs to all individuals in the region. Bhavesh Javeri, Executive Director, HDFC Bank also participated in the fair.

Shukla said that during the year 2023, we have traveled to every corner of the country and provided loans to the last mile user. We strive to take our banking services and products to the remotest corners of the country. Bundi’s Rural Credit Fair is the culmination of our efforts.

During the last financial year we were committed to reach 2 lakh villages. Loan fairs in the country have helped us get closer to this goal. In this series, in the year 2023, HDFC Bank established melas in rural areas in Ayodhya and Jhansi (Uttar Pradesh), Burdwan of West Bengal (West Bengal), Eluru (Andhra Pradesh), Kalaburagi, (Karnataka), Trichy, (Tamil Nadu) and Patan (Gujarat).
