Governor asks SBI CGM to disburse Loans quickly

Governor K.T. Parnaik urged Vincent Menachery Devassy, the Chief General Manager of State Bank of India’s North East circle, to accelerate the loan disbursement process for farmers.

Parnaik conveyed that loans associated with government-sponsored schemes, both at the state and central levels, sometimes faced delays, as reported by district officials and members of the farming community during his recent district visits.

The governor stressed the need to establish banking services in Vibrant Border Villages and circle headquarters, aligning with the Vibrant Village Programme introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Parnaik recommended that bank officials utilize the ‘Seva Aapke Dwar’ platform to raise awareness about financial institution services, particularly to support youth participation in ‘Start Up’ schemes.

During their meeting, Devassy briefed the governor on the SBI’s efforts to promote a robust banking system in the state.

The SBI CGM assured the governor of providing all necessary resources for the well-being of the state’s residents and simplifying the loan process for beneficiaries.
