The Central Government has approved the extension of tenure for Shri Subrat Kumar, Executive Director of Bank of India.
According to a notification issued on September 15, 2025, his term of office has been extended for three more years beyond his current term, which was scheduled to end on November 20, 2025. The extension will remain in effect for three years or until further orders, whichever comes earlier.
The decision has been taken under the provisions of the Banking Companies (Acquisition and Transfer of Undertakings) Act, 1970.
With this extension, Shri Subrat Kumar will continue to serve as Executive Director, contributing to the growth and leadership of Bank of India.

Shri Subrat Kumar was appointed as the Executive Director of Bank of India and took charge on November 21, 2022. He holds a B.Sc. degree, an MBA, and is also a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB).
With more than 27 years of experience in the banking and financial sector, Shri Kumar has worked across commercial banks and an asset management company. Over the years, he has gained wide exposure in several key areas of banking, including Treasury and Investment Banking, Risk Management, Credit Monitoring, and Corporate Banking.
He has successfully handled senior responsibilities such as Regional Head of Patna, Head of Treasury Management, Audit & Inspection, Credit Monitoring, and Corporate Credit. He has also served as the Chief Risk Officer (eVB) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Bank.
In addition, Shri Kumar has been on the Boards of the Fixed Income Money Market and Derivatives Association of India (FIMMDA) and BoB Capital Markets Ltd.
