A senior official stated that the body was found hanging with a veil, and authorities are investigating potential reasons, including workplace harassment. Forensic experts are examining the scene, and CCTV footage is being reviewed.
Before his death, Yadavanna reportedly sent a message to a staff WhatsApp group, naming two individuals he believed were responsible for his distress and urging colleagues to oppose workplace “injustices.” This development has sparked political controversy, with Karnataka BJP leaders demanding the resignation of the department minister, citing inadequate workplace protections.
Yadavanna had recently transferred to Belagavi, where he worked alongside his wife, who is employed as a village accountant in the same office. The Khadebazar police have registered the case, gathering statements from family and colleagues to aid the investigation.
