Janakiram, a senior official in GHMC Admin, had reportedly been living with the woman in a separate house. Suspicious of his frequent absences, his wife tracked his whereabouts and, along with her relatives, stormed the house on Friday morning. As they arrived, Janakiram stepped outside to confront them but locked the door from outside to prevent the woman inside from escaping. His wife, furious at his actions, shouted, “Aren’t you ashamed?” However, Janakiram responded aggressively, leading to a heated argument that soon turned physical.
Sources reveal that the woman inside was terrified and hid in the bathroom. Kalyani and her relatives forcibly dragged her out. She was in tears, but Kalyani slapped her, demanding, “Why did you ruin my life?” The enraged family members also took away her jewelry before handing both Janakiram and the woman over to the local police.
Eyewitnesses claim that Janakiram had been staying with the woman for several days. His wife further alleged that he had a history of extramarital affairs and had been confronted in the past for inappropriate relationships with women at work.
The entire episode was caught on camera, and the footage has since gone viral on social media, sparking widespread outrage. Warasiguda police intervened, taking both individuals into custody for questioning. An investigation is currently underway.
