Female Teacher files Police Complaint against SBI Bank Manager for not Marrying Her

A teacher from Assam has accused a bank manager posted in Maharajganj, Uttar Pradesh of physically and mentally harassing her for 14 years. She alleged that the manager promised to marry her but later refused. The teacher has filed a complaint at Maharajganj Sadar Police Station. Police have taken the accused bank manager into custody for questioning. As per reports, the complaint has been filed against a manager working in State Bank of India (SBI).

According to reports, the woman also created a scene outside the main gate of the State Bank of India’s Maharajganj–Farenda Road branch. She claimed that the branch manager, Amit Kumar Agrawal, exploited her about 13 years ago when he was posted in Assam.

The teacher alleged that Agrawal made false promises of marriage, put her under mental pressure, and used his illness as an excuse to delay marriage for 12 years. At that time, Agrawal was the branch manager at the SBI branch in Dispur, Assam.

The teacher, who hails from Tinsukia in Assam, said they were in a live-in relationship during his posting in Assam. She accused him of physical and mental harassment during that period. Later, he allegedly married another woman.

When the teacher learned about his marriage, she came to Maharajganj, Uttar Pradesh and filed a written complaint with the police. After receiving the complaint, police detained bank manager Amit Kumar Agrawal and have started questioning him.
