Female Bank Employee killed by Her Husband on suspicion of Extra-Marital Affair
A female bank employee working in HDFC Bank has been killed by her husband in Gurugram on suspicion of extra-marital affair. The husband revealed that he had suspicion on the character of his wife Mehak Kathuria, aged 26 years old. Both were married 5 months ago and Mehak was 2 months pregnant. Mehak was working as deputy manager in HDFC Bank in Gurugram.
The incident took place on Sunday night at around 9.30 pm near Pahsaur village in Badli. After the murder, the accused husband, Anshul, a CA by profession and resident of Hisar, threw the body in the drain and fabricated a false story of robbery and murder. However, when the police strictly interrogated Anshul and detained him, he revealed the secret of the murder.

Mehak Kathuria, a resident of Tikona Park, Hansi, left for Gurugram from Hisar on Sunday night with her husband, Anshul Dhawan. On the way, the couple argued over something. The situation escalated to the point where Anshul first beat Mehak in the car, then got out and stabbed her twice in the neck with scissors, killing her.
To make the incident look like a robbery, the accused removed Mehak’s jewelry and threw it into a drain near the scene. He then sought help from passersby on the highway. One of the passersby informed the police about the incident.
Police said that after assaulting Mehak in the car, Anshul, wearing gloves, stabbed his wife twice with scissors to prevent his fingerprints from appearing on the scissors. Mehak collapsed at the scene, bleeding profusely, and died shortly afterward. Police suspected Anshul from the very beginning of the incident, and upon rigorous questioning, he confessed to murdering his wife due to suspicions about her character. The exact reason of murder would be revealed after the investigation.
