Female Bank Employee accuses Colleague of Raping Her on promise of Marriage

Indore, Madhya Pradesh: A shocking case has been reported in the Lasudia police station area. A young woman has filed a formal complaint against her colleague, accusing him of rape, cheating, and physical assault.

The victim, who works at a bank, told police that the accused exploited her for several years under the false promise of marriage, and later refused to marry her. She said that the man also threatened to defame her reputation if she continued to pressure him.

According to the details shared by the police, the victim and the accused, Makrendra Trivedi, a resident of Nipania, met in 2020 while working at the same bank.

Their professional acquaintance gradually turned into a personal relationship, and in 2021, Makrendra allegedly took the woman to his house, where they had physical relations for the first time. He promised marriage at the time, leading to a live-in relationship between the two.

Over the next few years, the victim alleges that Makrendra frequently borrowed money from her, while consistently delaying discussions about marriage. However, when she began insisting on marriage, his behavior changed drastically—he began to abuse her physically, started making false allegations about her character, and eventually refused to marry her altogether.

The woman also claimed that Makrendra’s brother returned a portion of the money, but Makrendra himself not only rejected the idea of marriage outright but also threatened to ruin her reputation if she continued to pursue it. In March 2025, when the woman again asked about marriage, the situation escalated into a more serious dispute.

The situation got worse when the woman discovered that Makrendra was getting close to another girl. Following this, she approached Lasudia police and filed an official complaint.

The police have now registered a case based on the victim’s statement and have begun an investigation into the allegations. More details will be released soon.
