To make highway travel easier, faster, and more affordable, the government is launching a new FASTag-based Annual Pass for private vehicles.
What is the FASTag Annual Pass?
- It’s a yearly toll pass for non-commercial private vehicles like cars, jeeps, and vans.
- The pass will cost ₹3,000.
- It will be available starting 15th August 2025.
Validity of the Pass
- The pass will be valid for one full year from the date it is activated.
OR - It will be valid for 200 highway trips, whichever comes first.
(So if you complete 200 trips before one year, the pass ends there.)
Where Can You Use It?
- You can use this pass on National Highways across India.
- No need to pay toll fees every time—you just need to use FASTag as usual, and it will automatically count your trips.
How to Activate and Renew the Pass?
- You will be able to activate and renew your Annual Pass from:
- The Rajmarg Yatra App
- The official websites of NHAI (National Highways Authority of India) and MoRTH (Ministry of Road Transport and Highways).
- A special link for this will be shared soon.

- This pass solves the long-pending issue of toll plazas within 60 km from each other, which often led to confusion and complaints.
- It ensures that you pay just one affordable amount instead of paying tolls again and again.
