A dispute has been reported between the Union Bank manager and farmers in Barla, Muzaffarnagar. Farmers staged a sit-in protest outside the bank under the leadership of Bharatiya Kisan Union leader Vineet Tyagi. Farmers allege that the bank manager asks for bribes from them and misbehaves with them.

During the protest, BKU leader Tyagi asked bank manager Priyanshu to sit among the farmers. The situation became tense when the manager refused. The farmers misbehaved with the manager, the video of which went viral on social media. The incident took place at 2 pm on Monday. The police who reached the spot remained a mute spectator.
Vineet Tyagi said that for a long time, bribes have been demanded from farmers for bank work in this bank. He was constantly receiving complaints on this issue. Later, the manager sat among the farmers and talks began. The farmers submitted a memorandum to the bank manager. In this, action has been demanded against the employees who demanded bribe.
Bank manager Priyanshu assured the farmers that their demands would be considered. He promised to take action as soon as possible. More details will be released soon.
