In Muzaffarnagar, farmers from the village of Riyawali Nangla in the Khatauli region deceived the bank by creating fake seals and forged signatures of the branch manager of Punjab National Bank and repayed the bank loan through fraudulent means.

Upon investigation through the bank’s portal, outstanding loans were found against the accused. Following a thorough inquiry, a case has been registered against the accused under the charge of fraud.

The manager of the PNB branch in Kalyanpur village, Ratanpuri, reported that Abdul Rauf and Mudassir, residents of Riyawali Nangla, had taken a loan against their agricultural land, amounting to Rs 3 lakhs and Rs 1.79 lakhs, respectively.

Despite the bank’s continuous attempts for recovery, the loan was not repaid. On July 19, a call was made to the bank from the tehsildar’s office in Budhana regarding the repayment of the loan by Abdul Rauf and Mudassir.

Upon checking the bank records, it was confirmed that there were outstanding loans against the accused. Subsequently, an investigation was initiated. The accused presented relevant documents in Budhana Tehsil related to loan repayment.

Their documents were scrutinized, revealing that the accused had forged the bank’s seal and the branch manager’s signatures on the records. Both forgery acts were confirmed in the investigation, leading the branch manager to file a fraud case against both individuals.

The branch manager alleges that the accused are involved in the fraudulent intention to sell the mortgaged land without repaying the loan. The case details have also been reported to the Chief Executive Officer of Budhana.

The branch manager of PNB Kalyanpur, Ankit Kumar, stated that two farmers from Riyawali Nangla, working together, used fake seals and forged signatures to repay the bank loan.

An FIR has been lodged at Ratanpuri police station, and both individuals still have outstanding loans with the bank. The police are conducting an investigation into the matter.
