In Shahjahanpur, the district administration has started taking strict action against people who are not paying back their bank loans. One such action was taken by Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Arvind Kumar, who sealed a peanut processing factory named RK Enterprises, located in Alhaganj.

The owner of this factory had taken a loan of ₹25.5 lakh from the Roza branch of HDFC Bank. However, even after several years, the owner did not repay the loan or any of its installments. Because of this, the bank approached the district administration to help recover the money.

Following the bank’s request, the administration instructed Tehsil Jalalabad to take steps for loan recovery. Notices were sent multiple times by the recovery officer and the revenue officer (Amin), but the factory owner did not pay anything.

Finally, ADM Arvind Kumar, along with the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Jalalabad, went to the factory and sealed the premises as a part of the recovery action.

ADM Arvind Kumar also mentioned that there are many more people and businesses who have not paid back loans. He said all Amins have been strictly told to speed up recovery work. If any Amin fails to take proper action, strict steps will be taken against them too. Other firms that default on loans will also face similar actions, such as sealing of their properties.
