DSP in Bhopal Steals Her Friend’s Mobile and Rs.2 Lakh Cash, FIR Filed
Bhopal: A DSP posted in Madhya Pradesh, Kalpana Raghuwanshi, has been accused of stealing ₹2 lakh in cash and a mobile phone from her friend’s house. Jahangirabad police have registered an FIR against the officer. CCTV footage shows the DSP entering and leaving the house. The case was filed on September 24, while the video surfaced on Wednesday.

According to FIR, Pramila Tiwari lives in Galla Mandi Jahangirabad. DSP Kalpana Raghuwanshi is her friend. She used to visit Pramila’s house. The victim told police that on September 24, she and her daughter were at home.
In the afternoon, she went to the room to take a bath. The gate was open. At that time, someone entered the house and stole her bag. The bag contained a mobile phone and Rs two lakh cash. According to the complainant, when she checked after bathing, the bag, money and mobile were missing. Pramila told police that she had kept the cash for her child’s fees.

On suspicion, Pramila checked the CCTV footage. In this, DSP Kalpana Raghuwanshi was clearly seen coming and going in the house. It was also visible that she had a bundle of notes in her hand while leaving the house. After watching the video, Pramila was shocked. She immediately filed a complaint at the police station.
After preliminary investigation, police registered an FIR against DSP Kalpana Raghuwanshi under sections of theft. Moreover, after the accused learned of the incident, she returned her friend’s mobile phone but hasn’t returned the Rs two lakh cash yet. The woman DSP could not be arrested. She has gone underground.

Police headquarters has also issued a notice against accused officer Kalpana Raghuwanshi and initiated departmental action. Senior officers are saying they will take a strict action against her. Currently, police are searching for the DSP and investigation into the matter is ongoing.
