India Post has introduced DIGIPIN, a new digital addressing system that helps accurately identify the location of any user. At present, we rely on traditional PIN codes to find addresses, but PIN codes usually cover large areas, which can make it difficult to pinpoint exact locations.

DIGIPIN solves this problem by providing a unique 10-character alphanumeric code for a very small area (about 4 meters by 4 meters). This makes it much easier to find precise locations on a map. With DIGIPIN, every spot has its own unique code, allowing you to quickly and accurately identify or share your exact address—even in places where proper street addresses may not exist.
