Deloitte, the largest professional services network, has recently established an innovative ‘phygital’ (physical+digital) Innovation Centre in Bengaluru. This centre aims to provide domain-specific solutions to businesses, helping them reduce costs and increase efficiency. The Centre of Innovation and Technology (DCIT) is driven by technology and aims to assist businesses in visualizing and executing innovative business models through a phygital experience.
The DCIT, spanning across 12,500 square feet, consists of five zones: retail, manufacturing, digital studio, immersive, and advanced connectivity. Through these zones, businesses can reimagine their customer interfaces and experiences, supply chains, and product development by creating diverse prototypes. The centre showcases how cutting-edge technology, such as 5G and AI, can bridge visionary ideas with the delivery of high-quality products and services.
Ashvin Vellody, Partner and Strategy, Innovation, and Assets Leader at Deloitte India, emphasized the importance of ‘co-creation’ in this endeavour. Deloitte aims to bring together the entire ecosystem, including clients, ecosystem partners, and alliance partners, to collaborate on innovative solutions. With over 60 use cases across sectors like retail, manufacturing, and healthcare, DCIT is committed to refreshing these use cases every 90 days.
DCIT utilizes mixed reality, immersive reality, and augmented reality to provide clients with hands-on, real-time experiences. By testing situations beforehand, DCIT ensures a proper understanding and articulation of expected results, making sure that the solutions are relevant to the business and sector. Additionally, DCIT is collaborating with academic institutions such as IIT Delhi and IIT Madras to stimulate innovation.
The establishment of this phygital Innovation Centre by Deloitte demonstrates their commitment to helping businesses find new and sustainable ways to grow, fostering a culture of innovation, and promoting collaboration within the ecosystem.
