
Baroda UP Bank: On Friday morning at 11 am, a significant number of people gathered outside the main entrance of Baroda UP Bank in Jaura Bazaar of Kushinagar to protest against the bank manager. Led by bank account holder Vivek Upadhyay, the demonstrators alleged that the bank manager has been misbehaving with account holders and that there is negligence in addressing their concerns.

According to the protesters, clashes between account holders and the manager have become a daily occurrence since the manager took charge. The actions of the manager have caused a great deal of anger and frustration among the account holders. They claim that the manager consistently fails to complete tasks on time and provides unsatisfactory service.
Vivek Upadhyay shared an incident where he and other account holders requested their account statements, but the manager refused, stating that this particular task could not be done in the month of April. This led to a heated debate between the account holders and the manager. As a result, not only did Upadhyay and his companions leave the bank in protest, but other account holders also joined in, raising slogans against the manager.
The situation attracted the attention of the local police, and officers from the Chaura Khas police station arrived at the scene to bring the matter under control. They engaged with the protesters, explaining the situation and attempting to pacify them.
Vivek Upadhyay stated that they have reported the entire incident to the Police Station Head of Chaura Khas, the District Magistrate of Kushinagar, and the Bank Ombudsman.
The intervention of the police helped calm the situation, but the incident highlights the frustration and grievances of the account holders towards the bank manager. It remains to be seen how the authorities will address these concerns and ensure a better banking experience for the customers of Baroda UP Bank.
As i have Internet Banking, I do not visit Bank at all. At the sametime, passbook updation or providing periodical statement is an important duty of the Bank. If the Bank Manager refuses to provide periodical statement, it is high time such managers be shown the door.
I after go through the matter in details, arrived at the opinion that why some tiny issues are converted by Branch Managers and customers both. Whereas,after make ‘digital India’ and others so many alternative channels of Banking, is there any protest or public complaints look good show?
Why the Branch Manager consume one Sunday to organise a camp with the help of Asstt. and to educate about digital Banking channels.
We do agree that all are not capable to handle the digital channels, but now a days a VIII qualified child knows much more than P.G. student.
secondly, as per RBI guidelines the contact numbers of controller and Top Executives must be displayed in Banking Hall. So in one call the controller can assist the Branch Manager and a webinar in every month must be organized so that no smoke can be converted into fire
Updating of Pass Book and issues of current Account statements are of primary importance of every bank branch, irrespective of net banking facilities. The branch should tactfully handle the situations. But of late even branch heads rejecting these requests citing shortage of staff or otherwise does speaka of low customer service.
Every knows to use whatsapp, Facebook, Instagram, Gmail but why these people can not take statement from bank internet banking or banks mobile app. They can do so much of drama but cannot use digital methods available. Why Bank and RBI donot take any action against this type of customers.

if they don’t know how to see statement of their own account sitting at home they don’t deserve to run an account. Manager did the right thing to these type of customers.
Just because you are digitally literate doesn’t mean everyone in the country is. Growup, look around you, you will find many old people not comfortable using digital tech for finance purposes.
If any grievances are there against the Branch Manager or staff, it should be addressed to the Regional Head and RBI Ombudsman. This is not the way of dealing with the Manager. The issue may be something different and not reported properly may lead to mob violence.
Many employees are busy in election training. Out of 5 staff in bank 3 staff has been assigned for election duty.. Even peon is going for election training..
I don’t know y people rogid for passbook printing after every transaction?there mat be many reason that they couldn’t print,I mean less staff due to bank open single day between leaves ,or no resource or network,or passbook machine may be not ok,or menu not work,as I worked many days in bank in pvt I know passbook printing is not very necessary,u can ask balance and enquire transaction,many techniques to know balance and statement on mobile too,these villagers need each time passbook printing and make issue on petty cause

बड़ौदा यू पी बैंक में शाखा प्रबंधक एवम् स्टाफ के पास उपकरण यथा कंप्यूटर, पास बुक प्रिंटर आदि सभी कुछ घटिया क्वालिटी के हैं। अभी भी सामान्यत:पुरानी पासबुकों पर कार्मिक हाथ से आधी अधूरी प्रविष्टियां करते हैं।
जब कि 1अप्रैल 2020 से बैंक का नया नाम बड़ौदा यू पी बैंक हो गया है।
अत: कुशीनगर की पूर्वांचल ग्रामीण बैंक के सभी खाता धारकों को बड़ौदा यू पी बैंक की नई अपडेटेड पास बुक जारी हो जाना चाहिए था जो अभी भी नहीं किया जा रहा है।
मैनेजमेंट की हर खरीद फरोख्त में कमीशन खोरी दिखाई पड़ती है।
उपकरणों की Annual maintenance agency भी कागज़ों पर ही काम कर भुगतान ले रही हैं। सुना है,
इसके पहले चेयरमैन द्वारिका प्रसाद गुप्ता ने एचसीएल कंपनी के कंप्यूटर के जाली टेंडर और बिलों पर Acer कंपनी के घटिया और सस्ते कंप्यूटर खरीदे थे। जिसकी शिकायत केंद्रीय सर्तकता आयुक्त दिल्ली के पास की गई थी।
अभी उसका नतीजा पता नहीं चला।

Every bank now a days offer mobile application for downloading pass sheet and for enquiry of txns. The application looks similar to a passbook. In this era of digitisation, those who have smart phone still waste their time by going bank and putting them in que fir hours. People use wats up face book but they don’t use other banking applications. I agree that those who r illiterate and senior citizen should be provided pass sheet or pass book updation. Anyway,the early we shift to application better it will be for us
Instead of Blaming BM, People should ask Govt Why there is No Sufficient Manpower. These Gathering should be at Jantar Mantar India Gate or SANASAD. All are Blaming Bank Staff but No One looking other side also. This is the most stressful sector where Staff of 30-35 age suffering from High BP Diabetics.
As a banker, we come across these issues regularly. The customers are so rude that in the first day of the month they want statement. After annual closing server is also slow and lots of mandatory jobs are to be completed. But some customers are adamant to get statement. Can’t say more than that.
Not good for the bank, but blindly don’t believe it. Being a banker I know many times some customers put pressure like this to get their loan sanctioned without merit. They will put allegations of bribery and what not. Especially regional banks like this it is very difficult to manage such customers. Hopefully management and local authorities do their job honestly.
There must be reasons to deny such a service and the reason might be staff shortage due to election duty or poor infrastructure of the branch.
Not only bank Many govt offices are not well equipped with advanced technologies where people can be benefitted..
The customers should also has to bear one thing in mind to be polite with the banking officials and if they have complaint they can reach the upper management for resolution of the their grievances without creating chaos and politically exposing the bankers.
