Chhattisgarh Government Declares Public Holiday on Govardhan Puja 21 October

The Chhattisgarh government has announced a public holiday across the state on the occasion of Govardhan Puja, which will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 21, 2025.

According to a notification issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), the government has declared the day a public holiday under the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.

The notification was signed by Avinash Champawat, Secretary, General Administration Department, and was released from the Mantralaya, Naya Raipur.

All government offices, institutions, and banks in Chhattisgarh will remain closed on this day.
