The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has started a case against a former Stores In-charge of the Ordnance Factory in Medak, Telangana, and his wife. This case, registered on June 9, 2025, is about Disproportionate Assets — which means the person is suspected of having wealth and property far beyond what he could legally earn from his job.
According to the CBI, the accused man worked as a Scale-04 Stores In-charge Officer at the Ordnance Factory in Medak. The agency investigated his financial activities during the time period between January 1, 2010, and June 30, 2024. During this “check period,” they found that he and his family had illegally collected wealth worth over ₹2.17 crore, which he could not properly explain based on his salary and known income. The suspicion is that this money and property were obtained through unlawful or corrupt means.
To gather more evidence, the CBI carried out searches at three locations in Telangana. During these searches, they found 338 documents related to various immovable properties, like land and buildings. These documents are now being examined as part of the investigation to understand how the properties were acquired and whether they were bought using illegal money.
The investigation is still ongoing, and the CBI will continue to collect evidence to build the full picture of how the accused managed to gather such a large amount of wealth beyond his known income. This case is part of the CBI’s broader efforts to fight corruption and hold public servants accountable for misuse of power and position.
