Farrukhabad: In a case involving fraudulent activities under the guise of initiating shuttering work and obtaining a loan of 10 lakhs from the bank, a lawsuit has been filed against four individuals, including the former manager of Punjab National Bank, a purported field officer, and others.
The complainant, Rakesh Kumar, a resident of Chandpur village in the Kadari gate police station area, has filed a case at the city police station against Rajendra Yadav, Anmol Yadav, the alleged field officer of Punjab National Bank, Jogendra Yadav, and the former branch manager Rinku Singh.
According to Rakesh, on August 11, 2022, Taib Ali of Amethi Jaddid arranged a meeting with Rajendra Yadav. Rajendra expressed confidence in arranging a loan for shuttering work amounting to 10 lakhs.
Documentation was prepared for loan approval after obtaining approval from the industrial center. Rajendra, engaged in wholesale work after passing through, suggested placing a quotation by claiming to be from Sadoo Jagdish Yadav’s firm.
Processing fees of 12,750 and margin money of 43,250 were deposited into two bank accounts. On September 5, 2022, the branch manager and Jogendra Yadav withdrew 56,000 jointly. When Rakesh inquired about the loan at the bank, the branch manager and Jogendra Yadav claimed that a check of 8,03,250 had been issued to Anmol Yadav.
Upon investigation, it was revealed that Anmol Yadav had no business in Kadri gate. This indicated fraudulent activities, deceiving Rakesh. The bank manager is now exerting pressure to deposit the loan forcibly, even depositing some installments under duress. The police have initiated a thorough investigation into the entire matter.
