Shri Krishna Kumar, General Secretary of the All India Punjab National Bank Officers’ Federation (AIPNBOF), has provided significant relief to thousands of officers working in Punjab National Bank. He has stated that this year, the transfer policy for zone changes will also not be implemented.
Like the previous year there will be no zone change in the name of rotational transfer. Only the circle changes after 7 years of staying in a circle.

PNB Transfer Policy
Punjab National Bank (PNB) released the new transfer policy for officers effective from 1st April 2025. The new guidelines are as follows:
Note: In PNB Circle means City and Zone means State. If any city is small then a circle consists of two or more cities. If a state is large then it may have two Zones.
- No officer shall remain posted in a Circle for more than 07 years as on 31.03.2025. On completion of 07 years in a Circle as on 31st March, an Officer shall be transferred to another Circle but within the same Zone. In case an officer requests transfer to a circle of another Zone, the same will be considered subject to availability of vacancies.
- No inter-zone rotational transfers will be carried out.
- All circles of Mumbai & Kolkata will be treated as different Circles just like in all other Zones, for the purpose of inter-circle rotational transfers.
- Officers completing circle tenure and presently posted in East Delhi, North Delhi, South Delhi & West Delhi & HO Divisions of Delhi will be transferred out of Delhi, to other circles/HO Divisions of Delhi Zone/NCR.
- HO Divisions in different cities will be treated as a part of the respective Circle. For example:
- Treasury Division Mumbai will be treated as a part of Mumbai City Circle.
- HO Printing & Stationery will be a part of Noida Circle.
- HO Divisions in Gurugram will be a part of Gurugram Circle for the purpose of inter-circle rotational transfers.
- Officers aged 54 years & above as on 31st March will be exempted from inter-circle rotational transfers.
- Female officers in family way (for a period of 05 years 09 months including 09 months of pregnancy) and female officers having a child below 05 years of age (till child turns 05 years of age) will be exempted from inter-circle rotational transfers.
- Single parent will be exempted from inter-circle rotational transfers till the child(ren) reaches the age of 15 years.
- Officers posted in North-East and Jammu & Kashmir will be exempted from inter-circle rotational transfers.
- Rotational Transfers within Zone will be on linguistic basis, subject to availability of vacancies.
Before the AIPNBOA election, you posted a very different narrative (screenshots exist). Many officers trusted it and appeared for promotions/interviews with false expectations.
Posting multiple scenarios, deleting the wrong ones, and later claiming foresight is not leadership.
Naam Krishna, kaam Shakuni.
When careers are impacted by misinformation, responsibility cannot be denied.
This was never a question that there will be inter zonal transfers this year. As the same had already been settled (as informed by union officials) that transfers will be inter circle (within Zone) only. By spreading this message, gound is being prpeared for this action any time in the future except this year only. It was preplanned last year in the discussion.. was just delibrately delayed to get the matter settled.
