Baroda UP Bank is again stirred up in a new controversy. Recently, a video of party has gone viral on social media. This video is of Bhadohi region and dancers were called from Lucknow in party. Watch video below.

The Government of India has amalgamated:
- Baroda UP Bank (sponsored by Bank of Baroda)
- Prathama UP Gramin Bank (sponsored by Punjab National Bank)
- Aryavart Bank (sponsored by Bank of India)
into a single Regional Rural Bank named Uttar Pradesh Gramin Bank. This new entity is sponsored by Bank of Baroda, and its head office is located in Lucknow. The merger is effective from 1 May 2025.
Earlier also, the Government of India had asked Banks not to organise such parties. These parties are generally conducted by third party companies such as insurance companies. These insurance companies ask banks to sell their products and in return offer rewards in name of such parties. The Government should look into this and stop this practice.
