Recently, the Baroda UP Bank Officers’ Federation took a significant step by addressing a letter to the Chairman of their bank. The letter shed light on the distressing situation faced by officers working in the Jaunpur region. According to the employees, the regional manager in Jaunpur has imposed unreasonable demands on them, leading to a sense of harassment and discontent.

One of the primary concerns raised in the letter was the requirement for employees to work on national holidays, including festive occasions such as Eid. Additionally, they were also asked to be present at the office on Saturdays and Sundays. This practice not only disrupted their personal lives but also left them feeling overburdened and demotivated.
The officers pointed out that the banking industry as a whole has been advocating for the introduction of a 5-day work week to promote a healthier work-life balance. However, the actions of the bank management, particularly the regional manager in Jaunpur, seemed to contradict this movement. By compelling employees to work on holidays, the bank management was undermining the very concept of a 5-day banking system.
The officers explained that the banking sector is already under immense pressure due to various factors such as staff shortages, election duties, audit work, and training sessions related to the implementation of Finacle 10. These additional demands placed on the employees further exacerbated the stress and strain they were already experiencing.
The impact of these work-related challenges on the personal lives of the bank officers cannot be overlooked. With extended working hours and the obligation to work on holidays, they were unable to spend quality time with their families and loved ones. This imbalance between work and personal life took a toll on their overall well-being and contributed to a sense of frustration and dissatisfaction.
In light of these troubling circumstances, the Baroda UP Bank Officers have earnestly requested the intervention of the chairman to address the situation promptly. They have urged the chairman to cancel the orders issued by the regional manager in Jaunpur and reinstate a fair and considerate work environment.
The bank union emphasized the significance of cultivating a positive work atmosphere within the organization. They highlighted the efforts made to foster a supportive and encouraging environment for the employees. However, the actions of the regional managers, particularly in Jaunpur, were seen as detrimental to this positive environment. Instead, they instilled a sense of fear and uncertainty among the employees.
It is crucial for the bank’s management to recognize the importance of employee well-being and job satisfaction. A motivated and content workforce is fundamental to the success and growth of any organization. The officers’ plea for intervention and the cancellation of the regional manager’s orders is a plea for fairness and understanding in the workplace. It is hoped that the chairman will take swift action to address these concerns and restore a conducive work environment for the bank officers in the Jaunpur region.
looking to the disrupting and seriousness of concern simple action is to be taken to request to the controller to mail the same letter in office order, without it lives of Bank employees are not safe to open the branch on Holiday and working day.
secondly, the Union should reproduce the same letter to the Labour Commissioner, and Ministry of Finance, of Govt. of India.
It is simple rule in Black and White that till any mail received over branch mail for the purpose, there is self explicit that the controller may want the output by mental harrassment and threatening which is against ‘natural law of justice’
