Baroda Rajasthan Gramin Bank Employees Postpone strike till 2nd July

The proposed indefinite strike, scheduled to begin on Tuesday, by the Joint Forum of BRKGB Union demanding new recruitment and promotions, has been postponed until July 2 following an agreement.

According to Vinod Solanki, Regional Coordinator of Baroda Rajasthan Regional Rural Bank Officers Association, the Joint Forum of BKRGB Union held talks in Delhi. During the discussions, assurances were given regarding recruitment by June 28. As a result, the union made the decision to postpone the indefinite strike, which was initially planned from June 25 to July 2.

The meeting was held in the office of Chief Labour Commissioner and next meeting is scheduled on 02.07.2024 at 14:30pm. The representatives from Baroda Rajasthan Gramin Bank, Bank of Baroda, NABARD participated in the meeting.

The Baroda Regional Rural Bank employees had planned to go on an indefinite strike starting June 25, as part of a protest by the Joint Forum of BRKGB Union. The protest was against the failure to make recruitment in accordance with the Mitra Committee recommendations and the lack of staff promotions based on branch business for the past two years.
