Bank Union protests against anti-staff policy of Canara Bank

Gaya: On the call of AIBEA, on Wednesday, employees of Canara Bank demonstrated against the bank management at the regional office. Along with CBEU, BPBEA also extended its support in the demonstration. CBEU State Secretary Rahul Ranjan said that this demonstration was mainly against the anti-staff policies of the management.

The management has decided to reduce the number of workmen from urban branches and send them to rural and semi-urban areas. Also, the bank management told the government that there is no need to recruit clerks in banks.

There are too many clerks everywhere, whereas the actual situation is that where earlier six to seven clerks were working in urban branches, their number has been reduced to three to four, which has not only increased the workload but also caused problems in customer service. It is happening.

Under this, the bank has also started outsourcing on delinquencies. Here, BPBEA President Sanjay Kumar said that our main demands are that the recruitment of clerks in banks should be completed soon. Cutting of clerks in branches should be stopped. Outsourcing should be stopped in banks.

On the occasion, General Secretary Sanjay, Gauri Shankar, Vikas Kumar, Upendra Kumar, Gaurav Kumar, Amit Kumar, Preeti Kumari, Smita Kumari, Nupur Kumari etc. submitted a memorandum regarding their demands to the regional head, and also expressed hope that their demands would be met.
