Today a reconciliation meeting was held between the Bank management, Bank associations and IBA. The management of all public sector banks participated in this meeting along with labour commissioner. The reconciliation meeting was called in response to the strike announced by Bank employees on 24 and 25 March 2025.
The Bank associations have announced strike due to non-fulfillment of demands such as 5-day banking. Today, the meeting was held but no consensus could be arrived. Thus, next meeting will be held on 21.03.2025 at 11:30 am.
The meeting was held at CLC office. IBA, DFS, and bank managements were present. All the issues were discussed. There was no positive outcome on the issues especially on recruitments, 5 Day banking, unilateral PLI. More details will be released soon.
