The Tamil Nadu Bank Employees’ Federation under AIBEA has announced strike on 2nd December 2024. The strike will be supported by employees of all Banks in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. This strike has been announced against the vindictive attack on the leaders of union in Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Ltd.
Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Limited (TMB) is a private sector bank headquartered at Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. TMB was founded in 1921 as the Nadar Bank, but changed its name to Tamilnad Mercantile Bank in November 1962. The Bank has 567 full-fledged branches all over India.
