A major robbery attempt took place at North Bihar Gramin Bank in the Kathaiya police station area of Muzaffarpur around 11 AM. Three masked robbers arrived on a motorcycle and tried to enter the bank. However, the security guard stopped them, which made them pull out a pistol and threaten him.

Once inside the bank, the three robbers took control of different targets:
- One aimed at the cashier,
- Another pointed a gun at the bank manager
- The third kept customers in check, warning them to stay quiet or be killed.
Why the Robbery Failed?
The robbers rushed to the cash counter, expecting to find money. However, they were disappointed when they found nothing. Frustrated, they threatened the cashier to hand over the money.
At this moment, the cashier used his intelligence and told them that the cash was locked inside the vault, which required two keys to open. He said that One key was with him but the other key was with the bank manager, who was not present at the time.
Just as the robbers were figuring out their next move, they heard the sound of a police vehicle approaching outside. Sensing danger, they panicked and fled towards Baruraj. Before leaving, they damaged the bank’s CCTV cameras to avoid being identified.

- One robber tried to break the bank’s entrance,
- Two others stood with their pistols pointed, controlling the staff and customers.
