Bank of India Regional Manager Seriously Injured After Bus Drags Bike for 1 km in Gaya
Gaya, Bihar: A shocking road accident took place on the Gaya-Goh main road near Panchanpur Bazaar, where a bank official was seriously injured after being hit by a speeding bus. The incident created panic in the area and left locals in shock.
According to reports, Dharmendra Kumar, Regional Manager of Bank of India, was traveling on a Bullet motorcycle with his colleague Sonu Kumar. Sonu Kumar is the son of Arjun Sharma, a resident of Tepa, and also has a house in Panchanpur.
While they were on their way for some work, an LST bus (number BR 26B 1145) coming from Gaya lost control and hit their bike near Panchanpur Bazaar. Eyewitnesses said that even after hitting the motorcycle, the bus driver did not stop. The bus dragged both the bike and the riders for nearly one kilometer on the road. This horrifying scene left people nearby stunned.

Villagers Stop Bus, Driver Caught
After witnessing the incident, local villagers quickly acted and managed to stop the bus. They caught hold of the driver and informed the police about the accident.
Injured Taken to Hospital, Condition Critical
On receiving the information, Panchanpur police, led by Inspector Nandu Yadav, reached the spot immediately. Both injured persons were rushed to Anugrah Narayan Magadh Medical College Hospital for treatment. Doctors have stated that Dharmendra Kumar’s condition is critical, while treatment of the other injured person is ongoing.
Police Action and Investigation
Police have seized the bus and the damaged Bullet motorcycle and taken them to the Panchanpur regional office. Soon after, Station House Officer Padmakar Upadhyay also reached the spot and controlled the situation by calming the crowd. The police have started an investigation into the incident and further action will be taken accordingly.
This incident highlights the dangers of reckless driving and has raised serious concerns about road safety in the area. Local residents are demanding strict action against negligent drivers to prevent such accidents in the future.
