State-owned Bank of Baroda on Thursday announced special offers for its women account holders on the occasion of International Women’s Day. International Women’s Day is celebrated on March 8. This offer is applicable for accounts, either a BoB Mahila Shakti Savings Account or a BoB Women Power Current Account, opened till June 30, 2024, and loan facilities availed till December 31, 2024, Bank of Baroda (BoB) said in a statement.

A women’s savings account, such as the Baroda Mahila Shakti Saving Account offered by Bank of Baroda, is a specialised financial product designed to cater to the unique banking needs of women. It provides various benefits and features specifically tailored to empower women financially. These accounts aim to encourage women to save, invest, and achieve financial independence. There are no fees or charges for opening a women’s savings account. However, bank levy charges on the non-maintenance of QAB, SMS alerts (2nd Year onwards.), cheque book (after 30 cheque leafs.) etc.

The benefits of a women’s savings account includes a flexi-fixed deposit facility with attractive shopping offers, complementary accounts for children and lower ROI in education loan for girl child, personal accidental insurance, a first-year free RuPay Platinum Debit Card, a discount on two-wheeler loans, and a 25% discount on annual locker rentals. • This product is designed for the Women’s segment Savings Account.
• This product is suited for individual women above 18 Years of age. The value added features are designed to meet the requirement of the customers.
• Resident Indian Women of 18 Years & above should be the Primary Accountholder.
