Bank of Baroda launches UPI ATM facility at 6000+ ATMs

On Friday, the Bank of Baroda (BoB) proudly unveiled its UPI ATM service, available at more than 6,000 ATMs nationwide. This achievement makes BoB the first public sector bank to introduce UPI ATMs, in collaboration with the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) and powered by NCR Corporation.

This innovation allows both BoB’s customers and customers of participating issuer banks to withdraw cash without using their debit cards. Thanks to Interoperable Cardless Cash Withdrawal (ICCW) technology, which enables cardless ATM transactions, the UPI ATM simplifies QR-based cash withdrawals, eliminating the need for a physical card.

A UPI-ATM allows users to withdraw cash from multiple accounts using the United Payments Interface (UPI) app. WLAs are operated by non-banking entities.
