Bank of Baroda (BoB), one of India’s top public sector banks, has made some important changes to how it works across the country. The bank has created three new zones to make its services better, grow its business, and work more efficiently.

These changes came into effect from 1st April 2025. The new zones are:

  • Surat Zone – earlier part of the Baroda Zone
  • Varanasi Zone – earlier part of the Lucknow Zone
  • Jodhpur Zone – earlier part of the Jaipur Zone

These zones were officially launched online by Shri Debadatta Chand, the Managing Director & CEO of Bank of Baroda, along with the Bank’s Executive Directors.

With these additions, Bank of Baroda now has a total of 25 zones in the country. The main goal of this change is to make the zones smaller and easier to manage. This will help the bank take quicker decisions, provide better service to customers, and grow its business faster.

Speaking about the new zones, Shri Debadatta Chand said, “We are happy to launch three new zones. Smaller zones will help us manage our work better, offer improved banking services to our customers, and support the growth and development of our employees.”

This step shows that Bank of Baroda is focused on building a strong and customer-friendly banking network across India.
