In Greater Noida, maintenance staff at Blue Sapphire Mall in Greater Noida West allegedly harassed a bank’s HR manager on Saturday evening. When her husband protested, the staff reportedly assaulted him. The couple managed to escape and informed the police. Officers who arrived at the scene detained some of the staff members. Since the incident, the couple has been severely shaken. The details of couple have not been published due to privacy concerns.
The bank HR manager’s husband, a software engineer at the company, reported that they had visited the mall together on Saturday evening. While descending the stairs, two maintenance staff members made inappropriate comments about his wife. When he objected, the staff descended to confront them, and after a brief argument, called additional colleagues. The staff then began to physically assault them. The couple fled and sought help from the police. One of the staff members allegedly followed them outside and continued the assault. Despite asking bystanders for assistance, no one intervened.
Unable to reach emergency number 112, the victims called 1076, as suggested by someone. The police arrived at the scene approximately 10 minutes later. The victims then went to the police station to file a complaint against the accused. The Bisrakh police station has stated that action will be taken after identifying the perpetrators.
The mall management has been instructed to take immediate action. The Bisrakh police have been directed to enforce strict measures against the accused and also hold the mall management accountable.
