All India Bank Employees’ Association (AIBEA) has written a letter to the IBA regarding fixation of emoluments of Ex-servicemen Employees working in Banks. In the 11th Bipartite Settlement, a provision was made that the fixation of emoluments of Ex-servicemen employees who joined the Banks after 1-11-2017 and upto 11-11-2020 would be re-fixed as per the 11th BP Settlement. In some of the Banks, the managements refixed their emoluments in a such a way that it resulted in recovery.
Hence, the issue was taken up with IBA and IBA had issued an Advisory to the Banks on 25-4-2023 that in no case there will be recovery of emoluments already paid and any such recovery should be waived. In some of the Banks, the amount recovered from the employees has not been refunded to them.
In the recent 12th BPS, very clear provisions have been made in the settlement and it’s hoped that no Ex-servicemen employee would face any reduction in their emoluments. It is requested to issue an Advisory to the Banks that those Ex-servicemen employees employed between 1-11-2017 and 11-11-2020 and in whose case any amount has been recovered on account of the re-fixation, the same should be refunded to them.
