The tragic body of a bank employee’s wife was found hanging in the Ganpati Classic Apartment located in the Sikandra area of Agra. The incident happened on Friday, leaving the family and neighbors shocked. Her parents, who came after receiving the news, have accused her husband of murdering her and staging the scene to look like a suicide. The police have taken the husband into custody and are investigating the case. The exact cause of death will be confirmed only after the post-mortem report.
What Happened?
Deepa, 35 years old, was the wife of Rahul Pundir, an employee of RBL Bank. They live in flat number 210 of Ganpati Classic Apartment. The couple married in 2016 and have a seven-year-old son named Naman. On the day of the incident, Naman went to school in the morning. When he returned home around 11:30 AM, he found the flat door locked. His father, Rahul, had already left for work at the bank. Unable to open the door, the boy started crying, and neighbors gathered at the scene. They quickly informed the police.
When the police entered the flat, they discovered Deepa’s body hanging from a noose. The body was immediately sent for post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.
Family’s Allegations and Police Response
Deepa’s parents arrived at the apartment around 2 PM after being informed about the tragedy. They accused Rahul, her husband, of killing Deepa and hanging her body to make it appear as a suicide. According to them, Rahul had inappropriate relations with another woman, and there were frequent arguments between the couple. Deepa had even told her parents about a fight with her husband just a day before the incident.
However, police officers are still investigating and, at first glance, are treating the case as a possible suicide. No suicide note was found at the scene. Rahul Pundir has been taken into custody for questioning as the police continue their investigation.
