Bank Employee Sets Himself on Fire After Losing Job in Varanasi

A shocking incident took place on Friday evening in the Bhelupur area of Varanasi, where an employee of a private Bank attempted to set himself on fire after losing his job. The incident occurred near Ravindrapuri Marg.

The employee, identified as Sunil Kumar Mishra, a resident of Buchi village in the Sidhora police station area, poured petrol on himself and lit a matchstick. However, bystanders quickly intervened and managed to douse the flames before the fire could spread completely.

During the struggle, Sunil lost consciousness. The police, led by station in-charge Vijay Narayan Mishra, rushed him to SBS Hospital for immediate treatment. Later, he was transferred to the Trauma Center at BHU for further medical attention. After receiving treatment, he was discharged and sent home.

According to the police, Sunil was deeply distressed after being fired from his job at the Bank. More details about this incident will be released soon.
