Bank Employee in Indore shoots himself, Read Whole Story
Indore: A shocking incident was reported on Monday evening near Synergy Hospital, under the Vijay Nagar Police Station area, where a cooperative bank employee allegedly died by suicide. The deceased has been identified as Hemant Brahmavanshi. He reportedly shot himself with his licensed firearm at around 5:30 pm while he was alone in his room.

Debt of ₹2.5 Crore Reportedly Caused Mental Stress
According to reports, Hemant was under severe financial stress due to a loan of ₹2.5 crore. He had mortgaged his house and taken the loan from Bank of Maharashtra. It is reported that he had been unable to repay loan installments for the last one and a half years. Due to continuous default, the bank had issued several notices, but no response was received from him.

Incident Occurred When Bank Team Reached His Home
On Monday, a bank team reached Hemant’s residence to carry out legal proceedings related to seizure and eviction. While bank officials were present on the first floor and completing formalities, Hemant went downstairs to his room. Moments later, a gunshot was heard, creating panic inside the house and in the surrounding area. He was found seriously injured and was declared dead.

Under Treatment for Depression, Police Say
Vijay Nagar Police Station in-charge Chandrakant Patel confirmed the incident and said that Hemant had been suffering from mental stress and depression due to heavy debt. His eldest son also told police that Hemant was undergoing psychiatric treatment.
Family Members in Shock, Investigation On
The deceased is survived by his elderly mother, two sons, and a daughter. The family is said to be in deep shock after the incident. Police have registered a case, sent the body for post-mortem, and started a detailed investigation to ascertain all circumstances related to the incident.
