The 12th Bipartite Settlement (BPS) for banks was signed on March 8, 2024. The 12th BPS is an agreement between the Indian Banks Association (IBA) and bank employee unions, which determines the revision of salaries, allowances, and service conditions for bank employees. This settlement will be in effect for the next five years, starting from November 1, 2022. The signing of the 12th BPS concludes months of negotiations between the IBA and bank employees. The settlement brings a significant increase in salaries, with a remarkable 17% hike for bank employees.

in my opinion this BPS is one of the best settlement after 1979.
Because five day Banking is gift to the present Bankers who wait for two days leave either performing social obligations or get together with his/her family.
I remember the day if my joining 10.2.1983 as clerk 225 kms from my home city, the festival Holi falls in March but I have no casual leave because one month was not completed, I came on same day to my home by train and went away same day evening by train and next day with half opened eye sat on cash counter,
in those days no cash counting machines, all work done manually, now countless facilities with handsome financial benefit given in every BPS. Now I retired but still remember those golden days, during that four years period our seniors taught us the basics of Banking and upto retirement, I captured that principles.
