Chief Judicial Magistrate of Ayodhya, Sudhanshu Shekhar Upadhyay, has ordered the registration of a case against four individuals, including the Branch Manager of Indian Bank. The court has directed the Cantonment Police to file an FIR against the accused within three days and inform the court accordingly.
This order was issued after hearing an application filed under Section 173(4) by a person against the Indian Bank Branch Manager and three others. The Branch Manager of Indian Bank, Manas Nagar branch, has also been named as an accused in the case.
According to the complaint, Advocate Radheshyam Mishra, a resident of Raipur Kot Sarai village, alleged that a loan of ₹2.93 lakh was sanctioned against his land without his knowledge. His land documents were allegedly mortgaged without his consent.
The victim discovered the fraud when he went to obtain a copy of his land record for some personal work and was shocked to see that a loan had been registered against it. When he approached the Indian Bank Branch Manager for clarification, the manager allegedly threatened him.
Advocate stated that the victim had submitted written complaints to the District Magistrate and the Ayodhya Cantonment Police Station In-charge, but no action was taken. Consequently, the victim approached the court, which, after considering the matter seriously, ordered the registration of a case against four individuals involved.
