About Liability Sales:

The Liability Sales department focuses on acquiring liabilities, managing assets, and driving retail forex business across branches throughout India. It is responsible for sourcing retail and corporate deposits, salary and non-salary accounts, trust accounts, and forex business, with the aim of expanding the bank’s retail book.

Role Overview:

As part of Axis Bank’s front-line sales force, the Business Development Associate (Officer Sales) is responsible for acquiring new customers and identifying new business opportunities. The role involves selling banking and investment products, handling customer queries, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This is a purely sales-driven role that requires daily customer outreach and frequent travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify sales opportunities for both the bank’s products and third-party products by acquiring new customers and building strong relationships.
  • Deepen relationships with existing customers to increase business value.
  • Meet monthly sales targets assigned by the organization, according to the Grade Matrix (BDE, Officer, and AM Sales).
  • Accurately record and track customer engagement activities through the CRM system.
  • Comply with KYC, SEBI rules, regulations, and all relevant legislation governing the financial services sector.

Qualifications:

The qualifications required are based on the grade offered:

  • Officer Sales-2: Graduate with 1–2 years of experience.
  • Officer Sales-1: Graduate with less than 1 year of experience.

Role Proficiencies:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and the local language.
  • Excellent skills in lead generation and conversion.
  • Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • High sales orientation and a strong drive to meet and exceed targets.
  • Ownership of a recommended device (models like OPPO, VIVO, MI, OnePlus, Samsung, Realme) with Android Version 10, 11, 12, or 13.
