ATM Robbery in Sujangarh: Miscreants Uproot SBI ATM, Loot Rs.29 Lakh

In a shocking incident, unidentified miscreants uprooted an entire SBI ATM and fled with ₹29 lakh in cash. The daring robbery took place late Wednesday night on Bidasar Road in Sujangarh, Churu district.

How the Robbery Happened

According to police reports, the robbers tied the ATM with an iron wire and used a vehicle to pull it out. The entire operation lasted only six minutes. As soon as people nearby heard a loud explosion, they rushed out, but the miscreants had already escaped.

CCTV footage showed five to six robbers with their faces covered. One miscreant was seen surveying the area before the gang arrived. Initially, they tried to break open the ATM using a screwdriver, but when that failed, they used an iron wire and a car to uproot it.

Police Investigation Underway

Upon receiving the information, Sandwa police reached the spot and launched an investigation. Sujangarh DSP Darjaram confirmed that the robbers fled towards Jasrasar Road after committing the crime.

Three police teams, led by Sandwa SHO Kartar Singh, have been deployed to track the culprits in nearby areas, including Bikaner, Nagaur, and Didwana.

SBI Confirms Cash Loss

SBI branch manager Chandraveer Singh stated that ₹30 lakh was loaded into the ATM earlier on Wednesday afternoon. When the robbery took place, ₹28.96 lakh was inside the machine, which the robbers took along with the ATM. Before escaping, the miscreants cut the camera cables to avoid detection.

The police are now analyzing CCTV footage and gathering clues to track down the robbers.
