A recent scam involving crores of rupees has come to light in Aryavart Bank, located in Gadaria village under the Jaspura block. The allegations suggest that some officers and employees of the bank were involved in this fraudulent activity. However, the bank manager has denied these allegations, considering them baseless.

The incident occurred in Gadaria village, which falls under the Palani tehsil of Banda district. The bank operates the accounts of around 300 to 400 individuals in the village, primarily serving the local community.
According to the villagers, a bank employee named Manoj Kumar, in collaboration with his colleagues, withdrew Rs 66,000 from the accounts of Ajay, Garib, Radha, and Sumitra. Shockingly, these withdrawals were made without the account holders’ signatures on the withdrawal forms.
One of the victims, Garib, attempted to withdraw money from the bank on June 10. The cashier facilitated the withdrawal by taking Garib’s thumb impression on two withdrawal forms. Additionally, it has been discovered that transactions worth approximately Rs 20-25 lakh took place within a year from the scholarship account of Pushpendra, a minor student from the village.
The villagers have also found suspicious transactions in the accounts of eight other students from the village. These transactions involved transferring money to the accounts of these students. Upon reviewing the account details, it was revealed that small amounts ranging from Rs 70 to 90 were deducted multiple times (10 to 15 times) from each village account in the name of service charges. However, the bank employees have been reluctant to provide details regarding these deductions.
The villagers allege that the bank employees fraudulently withdrew crores of rupees by forging the signatures and thumb impressions of the account holders. The bank manager, Ramraj Meeda, has refuted these allegations, stating that they are baseless. He mentioned that further action will be taken based on the outcomes of the investigation.
Upon learning about the situation, Water Power Minister Ramkesh Nishad promptly instructed the District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police to register a case and conduct a thorough investigation into the matter.
