AIPNBOA President Sreekumar has Promised to End Late Evening Meetings. Right now, in Banks, conducting late evening meetings has become very common. This adds to extra pressure on employees and disrupts the work life balance.

Work–Life Balance is not meant for preaching – it must be practiced. It is not only important for officers; it is equally essential for the Bank to ensure the best output and improved overall performance.

AIPNBOA President Shri Sreekumar has also promised to stop unauthorised day-end checks in branches. Earlier, he had released his manifesto and promised a complete ban on holiday working.
He said: It has been observed that some Circle Heads, Zonal Managers, and even functionaries in administrative offices are still resorting to unauthorised day end checks. Such actions constitute an unauthorised intrusion into the Finacle system.Immediate steps will be taken to put an end to all such unauthorised practices.
Authorities still fail to understand the very concept of work life balance. Let it be made clear – No Officer shall be compelled, coerced, or threatened to attend office on Sundays or Holidays. We firmly assure that none of our members will be disturbed on their legitimate off days, no matter wherever they are posted, said Sreekumar.

This will be a big relief for Bank employees as Day-end Checks and holiday working are becoming common in Banks. Employees are ordered to work on Holidays – Saturday and Sunday, and the management imposed day-end checks on branches. Due to these day-end checks, bank employees can’t leave branches and are forced to sit late in branches. This needs to stop.
Bank Employees are already overburdened. The work pressure and stress are increasing in banks. Family and social life are deteriorating. It’s high time to implement proper work rules for Bank employees.
