AIBOC in service of Nation! Maharashtra Unit helps People affected by Floods

All India Bank Officers’ Confederation (AIBOC) has taken up a great social initiative. The Maharashtra unit of AIBOC has extended a helping hand to the families affected by Flood. The recent floods in Solapur, Dharashiv, and Beed districts caused severe damage and affected hundreds of families.
Under the leadership of Com. Nilesh Pawar (National Vice President, AIBOC and Secretary, Federation of Bank of India Officers’ Association), AIBOC Maharashtra distributed 1,500 blankets to flood-affected families in the worst-hit villages.

This humanitarian work reflects AIBOC’s long-standing commitment to supporting society in difficult times. The organization has always stood by the people, showing that its mission goes beyond officers’ welfare to include the welfare of the community and the nation.
This year Maharashtra has witnessed Heavy Rainfall. Several deaths have been reported across Maharashtra. Over 41,000 residents have been evacuated from low-lying and flood-hit areas, with Solapur, Jalna, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar and Dharashiv among the worst affected districts. Talasari in Palghar district recorded the highest rainfall at 208 mm, while Mumbai and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar received 120.8 mm and 110.3 mm respectively on September 27.
Several officials and volunteers actively took part in the relief program, including Shri Chandrashekhar Mantri (Regional Manager, Solapur), Shri Mahendra Dhonse (Secretary, AIBOC Maharashtra and Secretary, BOIOA Vidarbha Unit), Shri Pramod Shinde (Secretary, AIBOC Maharashtra and Secretary, BOIOA Pune Unit), Shri Sharanappa Pujari, Shri Magar Saheb (Tahsildar, Akkalkot), Shri Amol Sangale, Shri Ram Wakharade, Shri Deepak Wadevale, Shri Babaji Katkar, Shri Rahul Manjare, Shri Mahendra Morale, and Shri Mahesh Gute, along with officers and staff from Bank of India, Akkalkot Taluka.
The relief materials were distributed to families in the following villages:
- Solapur Akkalkot – Bori Umarga
- Solapur Barshi – Devgaon
- Solapur Barshi – Yerlewadi
- Solapur South Solapur – Sindkhed
- Solapur South Solapur – Akole Mandrup
- Dharashiv Paranda – Awar Pimpuri
- Dharashiv Paranda – Rui
- Dharashiv Paranda – Andori
- Beed Gevrai – Agra Nandur
- Beed Telgaon – Devgaon, Dukdegaon
Through such efforts, AIBOC Maharashtra continues to live up to its motto — “Service Beyond Duty.” The organization remains dedicated to helping communities in distress, promoting unity, compassion, and nation-building.
