On Monday in Bhiwani, Haryana, there was a sudden explosion in the air conditioner (AC) while refilling gas at the Bank of Baroda branch. Smoke filled the bank’s interior, causing panic among bank employees and customers. An AC technician was also injured in the blast. The explosion caused a commotion outside the bank due to the loud noise.
According to information, a mechanic was called for AC servicing at the Bank of Baroda. There were around 50 employees and customers inside the bank. Around 11 AM, the mechanic was inspecting the AC unit outside the bank. While checking the compressor for gas, it suddenly exploded, filling the bank with smoke. The bank’s security personnel safely evacuated customers and officials.
The explosion was so intense that the windows of the bank building shattered, and the AC unit’s components were scattered. The mechanic was injured in this incident and was rushed to the civil hospital. The branch manager reported the incident to higher authorities. Subsequently, all banking transactions and activities were suspended for the entire day.
